Heidi Klum, born on 1 June 1973, in Bergisch Gladbach Germany. Erna Klum was her mother. Gunther Kum worked as a manager for a cosmetics business. Her father had previously been a production manager for the 4711 company for perfume. Heidi was raised in the hometown in Bergisch Gladbach a city of approximately 100,000 inhabitants just 6 miles from Cologne. The German-American former fashion model is now a host and producer, fashion designer businesswoman and actress living and works both in southern California as well as Germany. Klum was up against 25,000 contestants from Germany and Europe prior to being one of three semifinalists. In April of 1992, she was awarded the biggest prize, which was $300,000.
