Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann
Aaliyah's debut album Age Ain't Nothing However A Number debuted in 1994. The album was Gold at the age of just 15 years old. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring the singer to the forefront. In 1996, she collaborated together with Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland to record her follow-up album One In A Million which included the top-rated hit song If Your Girl Could Only Know. Aaliyah was recognized internationally as an R&B artist following their release of the sophomore album One In A Million. Aaliyah was a part of the legendary Jet-Li, the famous martial artist in Romeo Must Die (2000) the action and romance film. Joel Silver, the film producer, saw her during the awards ceremony and kindly offered the role. In 2002, she appeared in the vampire movie Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels saw her playing Zee, after appearing as a character in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions that same year. She received four Grammy nominations in 2001, 1999, 2002 and 2003. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. Aarti Mann is an Indian American of the first generation who was born in Connecticut. Mann is her stage name. Mann is derived from her marriage name Mankad. However, she uses both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for professional name. Though her first professional career was mostly dominated by small movie and TV performances, she rose to greater prominence in the mid-2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory her other notable works are Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). She's also appeared in major commercials for brands like Volvo, an international auto manufacturer. She lives in Los Angeles where she continues acting as an actress.
